April 9, 2026 - Motor Vehicle Crash with Medevac

BRIDGEWATER - On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at approximately 11:09 a.m., the Bridgewater Township Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash involving entrapment on U.S. Route 202 at the intersection of Milltown Road.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2004 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Route 202 in the left lane as it approached Milltown Road. Prior to reaching the intersection, the vehicle veered left, crossed the grass median, and entered the northbound lanes of traffic. The Honda then collided head-on with a 2017 Chevrolet Van traveling northbound in the left lane.

The driver of the Honda Civic sustained serious injuries and was extricated from the vehicle by the Bradley Gardens Fire Department. The driver was subsequently airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick by the New Jersey State Police Medevac unit. Two additional occupants of the Honda sustained moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet Van were not injured.
